Range Failed to Engage detection logic
When toggling the Range Solenoid Valve, the TECU calculates the overall gear ratio from the Main Shaft and Output Shaft Speed Sensor signals. If the ratio does not match the expected range, FMI 7 sets Active after the transmission is stuck or cannot reach the desired range in five consecutive attempts, clearing once the requested range holds for two seconds.
