What this fault code means
Fuel temperature sensor F803 is fitted in the low-pressure fuel supply gallery between the common rail pump units. The signal stops automatic fuel module water draining when the fuel may be frozen and limits engine torque when the fuel is too hot.

The code sets when the PCI detects sensor output voltage below 0.215 V, and changes to inactive immediately after the diagnostic runs and passes. That threshold is what separates this code from a plausibility fault on the same sensor.
