Fuel Compensation Pressure sensor diagnostic guide
After safing the vehicle, the technician checks whether SPN 3480 FMI 14 is present, active or inactive, and repairs that first if so. If not, the compensation pressure sensor is replaced, though on a DD15AT the whole doser block is changed following the removal procedure in Power Service Literature. The engine is started and a doser purge, limited to three attempts, is run before a parked regeneration. A code that returns during regeneration means keeping the log file and contacting the Detroit Customer Support Center for further instruction.
