This Cummins oil pressure sensor guide covers Fault Code 415 (PID P100, SPN 100, FMI 1, SRT 00-057) on the M11 CELECT Plus. The 2-page document ties the oil pressure signal to the engine protection system and can light the engine-protection or red lamp.

Cummins oil pressure sensor checks
The sensor lets the ECM monitor lubricating oil pressure: the ECM reads the voltage on the signal pin, converts it to a pressure value, and uses that value for the engine protection system. Component location differs by engine — on the M11 the sensor is on the block to the right of the ECM, and on the N14 it is near the pan rail on the fuel-pump side. Shop talk directs confirming sensor supply voltage of 4.5 to 5.25 VDC and verifying with the driver the engine speed at which the fault occurs, because running under load at too low an engine speed can drop oil pressure below the protection limits. The document applies to 98N14 or 98M11 calibrations only.
