This Cummins EGR fault code document is a troubleshooting procedure for Fault Code 2274 on CM2150 engines. It explains the EGR differential pressure sensor circuit, the low-voltage fault condition, and the checks needed before repair. The file is supplied as Code 2274.pdf for workshop diagnostic reference.

Applicable truck models
This procedure applies to Cummins ISB, ISC, and ISL engines with CM2150 control, including the ISB6.7 CM2150 (2007-09) DTC group shown in the file information. The document covers Fault Code 2274, PID P411, SPN 411, FMI 4/4, where the ECM detects EGR differential pressure signal voltage below 0.26-VDC for more than 2 seconds. Who needs this Cummins EGR fault code manual
Mechanics, fleet technicians, and workshop owners need this manual when an amber CHECK ENGINE light is active and INSITE™ electronic service tool reports Fault Code 2274. It helps confirm whether the cause is a sensor supply issue, an open or shorted signal circuit, damaged connector pins, the engine harness, the OEM harness, or the EGR differential pressure sensor.
The diagnostic sequence starts by checking active sensor supply fault codes such as Fault Code 352, then confirming whether Fault Code 2274 is active or inactive. It instructs the technician to inspect the EGR valve delta pressure sensor connector for loose connectors, corroded pins, bent or broken pins, pushed back or expanded pins, moisture, missing seals, dirt, wire insulation damage, and damaged locking tabs. The voltage check uses the sensor supply and return circuits, with a required reading of 4.75 to 5.25-VDC. Later steps use jumper-wire circuit response checks to verify whether Fault Code 2273 becomes active while Fault Code 2274 becomes inactive.
The ECM and engine harness section repeats connector inspection at the ECM connector and includes guidance to repair damaged pins, flush dirt or moisture with electronic contact cleaner Part Number 3824510, repair or replace the engine harness, repair the OEM harness, or replace the ECM after authorization. The final procedure starts the engine, lets it idle for 1 minute, verifies the fault is inactive, and clears inactive fault codes with INSITE™.
