SPN 4360 FMI 10 is the Detroit Diesel diagnostic trouble code set when the SCR inlet temperature sensor fails a rationality check on DD Series (EPA 2007-current) engines. This 3-page troubleshooting sheet lists the fault definition, the relevant monitor or note data, and a numbered diagnostic routine that ends in the correct wiring or component repair. It is drawn from TruckFaultCodes.com (© 2017) and applies to the GHG14 emissions calibration.

SPN 4360 FMI 10 table of contents
After ruling out other faults, the engine is started and the SCR inlet, DOC outlet and DPF outlet temperatures are compared – they should read within 25C (45F) of each other. If they do not converge after a ten-minute idle, the SCR and DPF voltages routine is used to watch T_SCR_IN while the harness from the aftertreatment device to the ACM2.1 is wiggled. Corrosion or spread pins at the sensor, the ATD 10-pin, the VIH 47-pin or the ACM2.1 120-pin connector are repaired; otherwise the sensor is replaced.
- Fault code header
- Troubleshooting steps 1 to 12
- Temperature comparison (within 25C)
- T_SCR_IN wiggle test across the ATD-to-ACM harness
- Connector inspection and sensor replacement
Applicable truck models
This sheet is part of the DD Series diagnostic trouble code library and addresses the SCR inlet exhaust temperature sensor and its harness. The SPN 4360 FMI 10 procedure applies to Detroit DD Series (EPA 2007-current) engines running the GHG14 calibration, and the same code index is cross-referenced under the Detroit Series 60 (DDEC VI, EPA 2007) fault-code set. For engine identification and warranty details, see the Detroit Diesel official site.
Who needs this 4360 FMI 10 manual
It is aimed at technicians diagnosing a rationality fault where the SCR inlet reading disagrees with the surrounding sensors on Detroit DD Series trucks. The 25C convergence rule and the named connectors make the harness path easy to follow.
