Applicable truck models and engines

This fault code applies to Detroit DD Series (EPA 2007-Current) engines on the EPA10 platform using the ACM2, and the DiagTechPro library also files it under the Series 60 (DDEC VI, EPA 2007) DTC set. The diagnostic references the Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM2) used on these Detroit powertrains. See the manufacturer’s Detroit official website for current engine specifications and dealer support.

SPN 3510 EPA10 sensor troubleshooting overview

The monitored parameter is the MCM 5V internal power supply. With the ignition on, the technician disconnects the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) pressure sensor connector and inspects the harness for bent, spread or corroded pins, then disconnects the ACM2 120-pin connector. Resistance from pin 3 on the harness side of the DEF pressure sensor connector to ground is measured; a value under 1K ohms directs repairing the wire back to pin 84 of the ACM2 connector, while a higher value directs replacing the DEF pressure sensor per Power Service Literature.

Who needs this SPN 3510 EPA10 sensor manual

Detroit-certified technicians, independent truck repair shops and fleet maintenance teams will use this reference to follow the factory diagnostic sequence with a diesel diagnostic tool before replacing any control module or sensor.
