Laptop:
- Windows 10 or 11.
- The current version of Allison DOC installed.
- RP1210-compatible adapter drivers (for example, Nexiq USB-Link or DPA5).
Vehicle and connection:
- Ignition ON, engine off.
- Diagnostic adapter connected to the laptop by USB or Bluetooth.
- Correct diagnostic port. Most medium- and heavy-duty applications use a 6- or 9-pin Deutsch connector; GM light-duty pickups running the Allison 1000 instead use the standard OBD-II 16-pin connector.
